Kanarra Falls, Utah

Hello everyone - I made a trip to Kanarra Falls near Zion National Park. I had heard about these falls for a while, but never bothered visiting during my numerous trips to Zion National Park in the past. They are really worth checking out, especially the Upper Falls (the lower get all the attention). I went early morning and had the whole place to myself - I stayed on until the light was where I wanted it to be. Was superb.

Great shots and really interesting location. I especially like the lens flare in the last shot - adds to the atmosphere.

I believe these will be extremely hard to match and improve on!
I can't rave enough!

Yeah, I was experimenting with flare - never tried it before and need to experiment more with it for sure.

Thank much - I just got lucky being at the right place at the right time. I couldn't believe that I had the place to myself for a good hour. I guess no one likes to hike early. I do want to print the first two on metal - can't decide on the size I want.

Hi Joel - you should just pick a date in the first week of August and just go (if you can get away). It is incredible. Maybe you could plan to be in the area for new moon. So you can shoot these falls and then do some Milky Way photography in the GSENM area?

These are all superb, but my favorite is the first image - love the ladder and the diagonal line. The person for scale in the 4th image really works well too!
