This is the cranefly of a genus I must frequently see in our garden but it rarely stops still. It did not move at all when it was on the maroon [i]Gladiolus[/i] for at least several minutes.
Olympus EM-1, (aperture priority), Olympus 4/3 50mm f2 macro, 1/40 at f11 ISO 2000, hand-held.
The stereos are crosseye.
