Three varieties of columbine and a penstemon, all from the forest near Flagstaff. Criticism is always welcome.

Very nice work, Don. I like them all. Good DOF control.
I agree, you nailed the focus.

These are amazing!
My favorite is #2.

Tom, Cristobal, Denise, thanks. These were taken with my 100mm macro and three were hand-held. That makes focus a challenge but after a lot of trial and error I've figured out how to get it right most of the time.

First one is sweet! BG in rest is not appealing! Cheers Don!
Nice set of flowers there! The background bokeh is well controlled which helps with the apparent sharpness (which really needs no help because you're spot on). Good DOF all-around.

Excellent color and focus.
Taz, David, Willard, thank you all for commenting. It was fun to take these.

All great images Don!
Beautiful colors.
3 is my pick of the set. Might display it vertically, just to shake stuff up. Great work!

Thanks. I tried rotating that one. Maybe I couldn't believe it in that position because I've never seen a vertically oriented columbine blossom.
