I returned from a trip across town at 8am yesterday. Having parked my car, I saw this individual on the black paintwork.
I fetched my camera and shot from three different angles.
It looked rather too pale and slender to be a Speckled Bush-cricket but not enough so to be the Southern Oak bush-cricket. It was the Oak Bush-cricket Meconema thalassinum, the first time I had knowingly seen one.
The stereos are crosseye.
Olympus EM-1, (aperture priority), Olympus 4/3 50mm f2 macro, f ISO 1000, hand-held.
