Hello there. I'm very new to this, so please bear with me.
Q. How do a give my family and friends one link to my whole Photosite, except for private folders?
I have the site set as unlisted, except for one private folder, but I can't see how to share the site with family and friends only.

If you have made your galleries Unlisted, they would only be able to be shared if you send someone a direct gallery link. You can get a gallery link from the Share icon that appears at the top of each gallery.
If you want to share a single link to your entire site (except for Private galleries), the easiest way to do that would be to 1) make all your other folders/galleries you want to share Public (instead of Unlisted) and then 2) add a site-wide viewing password. Then, you can simply share your homepage URL and the viewing password with your guests. That will give them access to all your Public folders/galleries (other than Private folders/galleries — Private content is only visible by you, the logged in account owner).
