Choosing a new site template

If I choose a new site template, will I be able to return to my original if I decide I don't like the new one?

I had a little time on my hands and picked a new site template. Lost all of my links on my menu. I don't have the time to go back right now to recreate them, and it's frustrating, to say the very least.

Update: Have to admit; I had some time on my hands and redid my menu. I'm actually much more pleased with the results. The one thing I had never been pleased with was how the site rendered on my iPhone 11 Pro. It's not perfect now, but it's better. So. . . in retrospect, I'm glad I chose to try a new site template. And by the way, I went back to my previous version and am much more satisfied with it.
