I've got my first swim meet to photograph in a few weeks, I've already got the Canon 70-200L f4.0, but I think I'm going to need the extra speed ! anyone got the 70-200L f2.8 that they can lend me for the weekend ? I'll take good care of it of course.

If not, anybody know of any rental places in the Northeast US, ideally in the East PA area ?

Tony.

    Tony.

Rentglass.com has really good rates on rentals like $40 a month. Check them if you cant find one locally.

    Yeah...maybe...but no 300/400mm f/2.8 "L" or 500mm f/4 "L". ne_nau.gif :uhoh umph.gif

Dang.....that would have been nice to test these out before robbing a bank to purchase one. rolleyes1.gif

No doubt. One of the owners was posting on FM so I PM'd him about carrying 500/4 IS and said its too much money for 1 lens and too heavy. That business is 2 people and its their personal glass. They seem to be making a mint on the rentals but im not sure about their financials to support renting $5-8,000 lenses.
