I had brought home a small piece of rotting wood from a woodland fungus survey, hoping to identify a tiny fungus on it. Ten days later, I picked up the wood and saw several tiny, lollipop-shaped individuals.
Close examination showed them to be Arcyria cineria, a species I had not seen before.
The FOV at the higher magnification is about 4mm wide.
Olympus EM-1 (manual mode), Laowa 25mm f2.8 2.5x-5x ultra-macro at f8, twin TTL flash hand-held.
The stereos are crosseye.
