Redirect of URL

A friend who has a SmugMug account is hosting some of my material. I have business cards printed which have my domain name / photos.

I can set a forward at my domain provider and this takes me to my friends webpage but gives a page not found as /photos is being correctly appended to the the forward but obviously something would have to be done at SmugMug to either redirect or handle. If one was dealing with an Apache Webserver this could be done with a short piece of html code, is it possible to do something similar with Smugmug? Thanks

    Hi Keith,

I have to admit I'm not 100% sure what you're describing.

If your friend has created a folder or gallery on his SmugMug site you can forward to that content, you would need the full link from him and then you can set up the forward at your domain registrar. You mention using /photos but, I'm unclear if you're trying yourfriend.smugmug.com/photos or yourdomain.com/photos

If you're trying to forward to yourfriend.smugmug.com/photos that link will NOT be valid. All folder, gallery, and page links on SmugMug start with a capital letter. So, it would be /Photos rather than /photos, assuming "Photos" is the folder, gallery, or page URL your friend set up for the content.

If you're trying to use yourdomain.com/photos to forward to the SmugMug site please check with your domain registrar for forwarding options.

We're standing by if you'd like to reply back with additional information.
