There was a blue moon last night ( happens once a year) & I see no shots on this photography forum...

It's a little disappointing...

Well, Rags, I thought you might post the shots you took of that phenomenon. I didn't want to steal your thunder. :D

I always wanted to lie naked on a bearskin rug in front of a fireplace. Cracker Barrel didn't take kindly to it.

Hehe... I would but it turned into a saga....

I got to a spot with a good view of the east with a line of level low lying lights and it was dark... perfect I thought...

Got my D850 with my Bigma 50-500 and I was ready...

WRONG!... it's the wrong lens... I needed more open aperture since the bright orange orb is less bright than a white moon.... damn... nothing was presentable...

    Nice Rags!

Even with less than optimal equipment for the situation.

Tack this one up on the office wall, right next to the camera bag checklist! 😉

    Thanks for the comment Trekker...

I'll have to address the checklist to Mr. Stupid... :)

BTW... I had to cancel my Mongolia/Cappadocia earlier this year...

Mongolia closed the country until Dec 31...

    I'm hopeful for next year....

    You going anywhere?

    Hi Rags...

    Stuck in neutral.

With everything shut to most travel destinations, best will be staying local and seeing what I don't see when just zipping by on the highway. There are a few places I want to stop in that I always see when passing on the highway, now will be a good time to visit, stop for a spell and see what I may have been missing.

I am working on several photo projects from images shot this past summer and fall. Lots of IR image processing to work on too. Looking forward to some quiet time over the winter to engage in and spend more time on, these projects. Postings to come.
