Thinking about going on the photo tour there as anyone done it or been there.

It sounds like a pretty cool day out, they have a flying bird show as well as many other exibits.

Let me know if youv'e been there, what to expect and do and if you think it's worth the $28.50, Thanks
Looking for the weekend, see my images at the location below, please leave a comment if you like what you see, I would love to hear from you.:):

My family and I just went the day after Christmas. Pretty cool day especially if you do the tour. I've been jonesing to do the cheetah run gig where they let the cheetah out for a spin (chases a lure or something) and then gets a big steak for its efforts...

Maybe I'll sign us up for the tour then, The Cheatah run looks cool too, you get to stand next to a fence that 4 ft or so high and watch him run pass at 60 mph, you better be ready.

    Thanks for the reply.

Sure thing Froggy. The gorillas are also a major attraction and a great photo op. If you go on a weekday you'll have more room around the enclosure to yourself. Same with the lions. You may also want to consider the hot air ballon ride over the park. Its attached to a line so you don't really travel any distance, but it gets up there pretty high and provides a great view!

My family went last year on one of the hottest days of the year, it was pushing 100. We still had a good time and we want to go back when it's cooler.

For us, the California Condors were a must see. We also went back at night (much cooler, then!) and got to hear the Lions roar and see them playing. That may only be a summertime activity. Well, worth it though.

The tour in the photocaravan to me was worth the effort.. We took the 4 hour trip in the afternoon.. If you get the right time of the week you might have the truck to yourself... They will stop where you ask them to stop...

Been to the Wild Animal park many many times...

This time of year great place for ducks and other birdies along with the actual exhibits...
Best to get there when they open and stay till the light goes away.. basically a whole day trip...

Only time I can go now is on weekends. I have a membership to the San Diego Zoo and it includes the Wild Animal park.. i usually head there at least once a month...

Check out the gallery here: Have not updated it yet, but there will be a ton more images when I get around to process them...
