Text box changing formatting during preview

Hello all,

I'm working to customize the Osiris theme, and I have designated the homepage as independent so I can create a splash page.

I am wanting enter a quote on that independent homepage, but when I enter text into the the text block it's changing the formatting of the text.

Here's what the text and formatting should look like...

When when I preview the page this is what it ends up looking like (bolded and all caps)

How do I stop it from bolding and capitalizing the text? I tried to see if there was some kind of default switch I could change but if there is I'm not seeing it.
