These mushrooms get their name from the texture which is similar to that of the children's sweets (candy).
They look like gill fungi but they have no gills and are Ascomycetes, the upper surface bearing spores.
The cap colour can vary from pale, lemon yellow, through orange to brown or blackish.
These were found in early November.
Olympus EM-1, (aperture priority), Olympus 4/3 50mm f2 macro, 1/8 sec at f8 ISDO 1000, hand-held.
The stereo is crosseye.
