I found this individual in our conservatory today. The pigment pattern can be quite variable and this is the most easily recognisable, with that broad band of pale colour around the from of the abdomen.
These have a reputation of being poisonous but it is much like a bee sting and the main risk is of anaphylaxis for individuals who are allergic.
It was sitting vertically on a wall, making getting the best angle of view awkward. it didn't move at all while I was there.

The stereos are crosseye.
