This is a plant in the Aizoaceae, often referred to as "Mesembs" after the old family name.
This genus, and Fenestraria, have "windows" in their leaves. In their natural habitat they grow sunken in the ground, with just the tips of the leaves showing. So light gains access through the tissues.
I have held these images back for several months as they are not particularly good and the top view is too tightly cropped.
Olympus EM-1, (aperture priority), Olympus 4/3 50mm f2 macro, 1/160 at f11 and 1/320 at f8, sunlight hand-held.
The stereos are crosseye.
