Rare Arizona Capture
We don't see these these birds in Arizona, but I was told this guy got stranded here due to a hurricane. Any ways, he is the only Roseate Spoonbill at the Gilbert Water Ranch, and I was very happy to have found him.

This poor fellow has been there for months now. I think I filled an entire memory card on him/her.

I think of spoonbills in south Florida, not Arizona.
Great set of captures, Dan

Very Cool Photos!
Great captures!~
Hey Dan,
I was at the Riparian Water Ranch again last Sunday and this Lone Spoonbill was still there.
Though he spent most the day with his bill tucked neatly behind his wing.
We even had a Brown Pelican pay a visit among the countless American White Pelicans.
I think they are all working a broken compass.
If you make plans for another road trip to Riparian, Let me know. I would love to join you there.

Hey Dan,
Congratulations on the Arizona Highways Photo of the Day!!
I was perusing the archives on the Arizona Highways Photo of the Day and ran across your Roseate Spoonbill image.
Great Job.
