Favicon issue - Favicon is still blurred

Dear All!

I tried many settings with my favicon, but the small icon is still blurred. I created my logo with high resolution (jpg or png). When I created and downloaded for myself the favicon package (generated with favicon generator) , I can manage the HTML code for the head on my home page but I'm not able to place .ico file and site.webmanifest in the root directory to my smugmug page. Where is this mentioned root directory? And what can do for the sharp favicon settings? Did I miss something important step?

You can't add anything in your SmugMug site's head section. No need to create a favicon generator. Select your image to use as a favicon and add it here:

Use jpg or png.

I use a style not a template. Where is the setting for the styles?

Never heard or used a style, so I have no idea, sorry. It's probably buried someplace in a dropdown menu.

Don't understand, "styles" have been here since day one.

Blame it on my stroke. I thought styles was something else.

Go to Customize and you should see this:

Click on "Template Settings".

Hello Mike!

I use this section to upload my favicon (tried jpg and png as well), but the system crashing it all the time and it will be blurred, not crispy sharp. Is there a common image size for favicon here by Smugmug? I tried many sizes but the result is the same.

And there is an option for .ico file to upload to Smugmug? This is the only one looks very sharp. I'm a little bit sad, because nobody answered my emails sent to Support Center and Hero.
