in Holy Macro
Hi peeps - It's been a dog's age since I've been active here, but hope to change that.
I've basically replaced my manual macro lens (Olympus 90mm f2 from the 1980s) to a system lens (Panasonic/Leica 45mm f2.8) and here's one of my favorite shots with it -
Commonly categorized as 'giant' because that whippy ovipositor in the back can be a couple inches long. This little one is barely an inch with the antenna and the ovipositor. She was very patient and let me get very close. Natural light, handheld while braced on my deck railing. I LOVE the iridescence in her wings.
