How to Customize Image Carousel Block?

Smugmug support suggested I enquire in the forum about some customization of the Carousel:
1] I would like to have the image 'stretch' to fill the frame--currently, the images don't match the viewing window revealing border to images left and right.
2] The Carousel block is spaced correctly within my site in Edit Mode, but when published, is spaced further apart with a large border area
from the neighboring blocks-how can I correct this to control the spacing?
3] Is there a way for the Carousel Block to auto adjust when viewed on a small device--smart phone--the carousel remains in full size mode when viewed vertically and so
truncates the image, while the rest of the site adjusts correctly?

Remove the 12px margin by selecting the 'Dimensions' in the Carousel Block:
