600px wide text in custom text box

Hey guys,

I have custom text boxes on all pages of my site that are responsive to fill the screen. Unfortunately the text also reaches to the edge of the screen which looks strange on larger monitors. I'm wondering if there is a way to have the white box extend to the edge of the screen but for the text to be limited to around 600px wide for a more "standard" look.   width: 600px;
  margin: auto;
