Dealing with what you've got

Over the weekend I went for a walk and shot these pelicans. Somehow, I managed to get a hugely over-exposed and somewhat blurry shot, I kind of liked it so I decided to play with it a bit and came up with this. Thoughts?

Well, It's interpretive art to me and I happen to like it a lot.

Very Nice!
Since it is art and your vision, certainly nothing could be better.
Out of an over exposed photo you stepped into creating sumi-e art, in the true Chinese style. Creating a monochromatic drawing depicting only essential elements and not focusing on details. Definitely Zen inspired...capturing the beauty of the natural world.
You might investigate this in some further, creative, post-production work with this image, keeping of course true to the sumi-e school.

Thanks! I agree this has a very zen vibe to it that I like. I might explore this sumi-e approach with other nature topics
