My wife and I tossed some gear into the van, and headed south on U.S. 395 Traveling through Washington and Oregon during the night, we found ourselves in the eastern Sierra Nevada's of California.

During the day we kept tracking amazing Lenticular cloud formations as we traveled south.

Approaching Mono Lake we were still tracking the clouds.

Agree. Wonderful set of photos. Looks like you found the famous Mobius Arch too.

Thanks Taz. Looking at the 1st one again, I have to agree with you. I tried a couple of options, 1st a bit of saturation adjustment with some illumination tweaks, and the 2nd option was a different crop to eliminate more sky, and some illumination tweaks.

Personally I think the new crop really puts the main focus on the clouds, which was my original intention.

I don't know where I'm going, but I'm going anyway.

Thanks. Mobius was easy to locate. There are others, but I'll have to work harder at finding them next visit.

Thanks. That whole area of the eastern Sierra Nevada mountains has a lot of great photo opportunities. I'll be returning, but in cooler weather. some of us N westerners don't tolerate the heat to well.

Great shooting, Phil. I'm glad to see you're making the best of the leisure time you now have to get out and around. Thanks for sharing.

I always wanted to lie naked on a bearskin rug in front of a fireplace. Cracker Barrel didn't take kindly to it.
