Change default search order for rank to newest?

Hi is there a way to change the default display order in searches from "rank" to "newest"?
As an example I have a "search by film type" menu here that works off keywords:

But the results are always sorted by rank but newest would be much better for my needs.

Rank is actually a meaningless term now.
