I am not sure if this is the correct forum, but I thought at I would share this website for those who haven't seen it already. This photographer definately has vision... His name is Gregory Colbert...

I hope that you enjoy it and perhaps get inspired...

I don't really care for how they layed out the site. It's slow.

It reminds me of an old game "Oregon Trail" rolleyes1.gif

I had to load flash, close all my browsers, restart the browsers, go back to the website, click on it. Wait. Wait. Watch silly animation. Music nice, but putting me to sleep. Photos interesting, but..... not wild about them.

Maybe I'm just not an elephant person. I'm sure the site was designed with all good intentions and one can tell a lot of work went into it.

I remember reading about the photographer in one of the photo magazines. Interesting story, wish I could remember the details. lol3.gif

Absolutely stunning, amazing work. I find it very powerful. I don't have to think about the images, they evoke strong feelings on their own. Incredible craftsmanship as well.

Thanks for the link and the reminder. You have to go down three layers to get to the photo slide show, but it's well worth it, only took me :20 seconds with a fast connection.

I agree that the site was a little slow, but not too bad. Either way I wasn't wild about the site layout either but I was floored by some of the pictures.

    Thanks,

    Lee

There was a news highlight on him the other day. Basically he has some wealthy people financing his trips so he has adundant time with his photographic subjects... I wish I had that problem! mwink.gif

I feel the same way. The pictures are often simple in layout but they evoke strong feelings. He would do well in Dgrin Challenge 57. :D

I didn't think that the layout was horrible or fantastic, but for me it wasn't slow and I too thought that the images in the slideshow were fantastic.

Thanks for your comments... I would love to see a gallery of his work...
