The color difference between the wave curl itself and the blue ocean behind the wave is interesting and intriguing. Algae being raised from the seabed or perhaps sunlight refraction through the water? Either way, very nice...very powerful.

I think it is mostly sunlight bouncing off the water. Clear proof that there's no correct answer to "what color is the ocean?"
