Picture Titles keep disappearing

My gallery is a photography site. I add titles to the pictures using the "add title" field, and they stay for a while but every so often, maybe when I add more pictures, the titles all disappear. This is a huge problem. How can I ensure they will stay? I add them logged in with Firefox, on a Mac Pro, OS Mojave. Thanks for any help!
