These Sparrow's are one of the less common species in our area.

Well done Steve
I've been working myself on trying to get better little birdie (well all birdies) shots just a notch better. These are what I'm talking about, like it when you can see the pupils. Gotta get the light just right for that!

Very nice. Excellent captures. They are fairly common here. Not as common as the house sparrow, but I see them all the time.

Thank you for your kind words Dani. I was using the Canon 500 mm L 4.0 with a 1.4xTC. I really love that lens, though I need a caddy to carry it around.
