Stop getting new reply notifications for ONE topic?

Years ago I made a huge mistake -- I replied to a topic of soft backgrounds.

Now every time someone replies I get email. The thread gets hundreds of ongoing replies.

Is there ANY WAY to turn those off, without turning off notifications to topics I really want?

I cannot find any "unsubscribe" at the topic level, as every other forum in the world seems to have, so I think I must just be blind?

The best way I've found to control notifications is to set my preferences to notify only threads that I have bookmarked. You can set that up in Profile->Edit Profile->Notification Preferences. You can toggle bookmarks on or off for a given thread by clicking on the little orange star icon in the Recent Discussions page or at the top of each page in the thread. It might take a while to get it set up exactly the way you want, but you don't have to do it all at once.

Hmmm... ok, that sounds like a plan. Just book marked old discussions and reset notifications, let's see if that darn topic stops sending me email.
