Animated Gifs limited to 7 seconds?

Hi guys,

Does anyone know, whether gifs are intentionally limited in time? In the backend, the gifs animation plays fully, but as soon as I put it on a page via "Single image" block it just plays 6-7 seconds.

Is there a way around that? Anyone any experience?

    Hmm...I just looked at an old animation that used to work fine and it is now truncated in the lightbox, which ruins the whole point. I hope this will be corrected soon. I have alerted the Heroes.

    I have looked at several of the animated GIFs I have at SM and they all continue to play without a time limit. Are only some accounts affected by this bug?

    Maybe it is about file size or dimensions?

    Thanks for your answers. At least in Safari, they repeat without end, but the time for one clip is limited to 6-7 seconds, and then it repeats. Even though the clip is 10 seconds long...

    Maybe it has to do with file size. Need to try it out...
