Amazing clouds

As many of you have already learned by now, the sky here in SoCal is usually very featureless. However from time to time the weather gives us some surprises. One of them was this evening.
I was about to leave the work when I looked at the sky and saw the most amazing clouds. I have never seen such interesting shape at all, let alone here in usually clear-skied SoCal. They looked like some huge zeppelins, and couple of them were just twins, repeating each ether's texture. I tried to capture what I saw with my 20D, you are to decide if I made it any justice...

Here are few examples (it was getting dark fast, hence the noise, sorry, even Neat Image Pro didn't help much):

Enjoy cloud shooting!

It was really cool to watch. Too bad I only caught the last glimpse of them, I wish I left the work at least 30 min earlier (which I easily could do, we were simply chatting with a couple of colleagues about digicams:-)

Anyway - good luck with your move. Prague is an absolutely b*e*a*utiful city, you'll have a blast-non-stop using your photo skills there:-)clap.gif

I wished I'd had my camera with me today. I saw these same clouds as I crested Mulholland today. Beautiful. By the time I got home, it was dark...

Thanks for the captures. I really like the first one. The bit of ground gives a nice perspective.

That's why I *always* have it with me:-) Most of the time it just plays the role of pumping iron, but at rare occasions like this it really pays off:-)

My pleasure, glad you liked them:-)
