Increase number of collected images per gallery

I am using SmugMug mainly for private fotos. My fotos are backupped from several family devices into various folders. I would like to segment my fotos according to date and would like to at least be able to browse all fotos of a quarter within a gallery. The limit of 1k collected fotos per gallery is too low for this. What is the reason for this limitation and could you up it to the gallery size of 5k? Cheers, Martin
