Got a few more pieces of this strategy up my sleeve that you'll see shortly, but this is phase one.
It's been our plan all along to expose large portions of smugmug to external forces, such as 3rd party applications, scripts, and the like.
It's also been our plan to figure out a way to roll out some new features in a "beta" state.
This forum will provide lots of information on how to do both. We'll release API documentation, discuss it directly with anyone making cool stuff for smugmug, and generally figure out how to move forward and make it easier for other apps, devices, script, and the like to use our service.
