An agave:
Strathcona Provincial Park, BC:
The first shot is recent but the second shot is from 2009. I thought I'd lost all the photos from that era when a drive crashed a few years back but it turned out that, unknown to me, Google Drive saved a few of the RAW files.

Second shot is awesome! And the comp is perfect.

Thanks, David. I hadn't been at this long in 2009 and most of my photos from that time were very bad. Even a blind hog gets the occasional acorn, though.

Stunners both Don! Just makes you want to stare!
For the second one, I am NOT SURE, but I went back and forth on maybe cropping quarter inch from bottom. If cropped it becomes bit brighter and tad more balanced.
However, as is, there is tremendous value in going from brooding darkness in FG and light and hope at a distance.
Bravo!!
Thanks, Taz. I see your point about the crop.

Good work, Don. I particularly like # 2.
Wonderful work Don. I lie them both but would prefer a sharper focus on #1.
Luck happens when preparation meets opportunity!
Tom, roaddog, thanks.

Always love your agave shots, Don. That second shot is just plain stunning.

Don...
Well done on both.
The agave is very soothing and relaxing. Great "lines" that lead you into the image and the plant itself.
Might consider, if you haven't already, framing this one.
Great work.

Thanks, Gato. My wife has an equal say in what goes on the walls and she doesn't care for black and white, alas.
