Site > Home Page is showing Galleries and Website Pages!?

Hi guys, I hope somebody can help me with this:
I'm building a SmugMug website for a friend who has become somewhat stuck with it. The issue I have is when I go to SITE > HOMEPAGE it shows all his Galleries and Pages he's created on that page. I can customise the design of the Homepage happily enough but I can't seem to see how to stop all of his Created pages and Galleries from appearing on that page too. They appear in a CONTENT BLOCK and it looks like I could just DELETE the CONTENT BLOCK, but I'm reluctant to do so without asking this question first.
Can I just delete the Content Block to resolve this issue?
