Will not apply watermark

I have tried and tried and tried and tried to use a Preset with a watermark and galleries just will not accept it. Really is doing my head in and think Smugmug is not for me, terrible waste of time.
Had the problem for months. I have cleared history and it worked but I don't see that should have to clear history every time and then go through setting up passwords for all my log ins etc.
