They deposit their eggs on the submerged parts of plants.

    Very nice Harold, while super close up is nice I also like showing the insects environment as well like you have done here. I find it helps to tell/complete the story about the subject. Very vibrant colors.

    That's the principle I use for most macro, except when I go in very close for detail.
