New developer and SmugMug API

I am a fairly new developer and have 3 different SmugMug accounts. I would like to be able to use the SmugMug API to create galleries in my own website and studio manager. Looking through the posts I don't see many recent posts about the API. Before I get too deep into this, can anyone tell me if the SmugMug API is still being serviced, and if there any tutorials available? My partner has created a Zenfolio account to play around with their API and he seems to like it, but I REALLY don't want to move 10 TBs of photos just so I can use their API!

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    @ShotByTom Yes, the API is still being serviced and most (not quite all) of the service features are available in APIv2. If you need help integrating, you can also contact our support heroes if you run into questions.

    I'd start with our documentation to explore some of the basic concepts like reading and modifying content then you can dive into more advanced topics such as expansions which make working with the API much easier.
