Photoshop difficulties

I use lightroom to store and perform basic edits and Photoshop to make more difficult edits and to print. Adobe keeps changing the interface and not for the better. Each new release changes existing features that no longer work the same and I am fed up with it. Can anyone recommend a better system for editing and printing that will work with lightroom?
