True test of 105 Macro (6 imgs)

Got outdoors today with the new Sigy 105.
It was windy and these were hand held...manual focus..ISO 100....only a UV filter....no flash used.
PP= Resized...couple I used auto levels and USM (100%+Radius 3.5)

    seems like you got some bad CA on that first one.... but other than that seems like you're loving that new lense :)

    I love the milkweed shots. The way the hairs are glowing is really cool. Good job. Keep on playing with that new lens.

    Nice start with these Jim. I'm sure you're going to enjoy it once the weather changes! Can you give some shot details - shutter speed, f-stop, flash etc.

    Daniel, doesn't look like CA in the first to me - looks more like motion blur (as DavidTO suggested). CA fringes are colored (normally associated with purple fringing).

    ISO 100.....Shot with Priority Mode.....all but #1 was shot at [EMAIL="f5.6@1/160-1/200....all"]f5.6@1/160-1/200....all[/EMAIL] were natural light with no flash!

    Is that the better Macro around?

    Is it "reasonable"? I will look it up.

    But I want to order a Macro today, am confused.

    100mm canon, 150 or something sigma, and this?????

    I really do like what that macro did! Is it close enough to the subject if the subject is moving, like a butterfly?

    New it's around $400 I got mine MINT 2nd hand for $280.
    Brian aka LordV uses one of these 105's all the time for bugs and flowers!!
