Recommendation for Laptop for Travel

Planning ahead for an upcoming trip.
Interested in purchasing a smaller screen laptop for ease of transport.
Something I can use basically for transferring RAW images from my card reader to an external hard drive. I'll be shooting extensively and want to be able to off load all my images at days end.
I subscribe to PS/LR so I will be editing as I go along.
Not looking for anything super expensive....maybe in the $500ish range or less.
I have been shopping, but I am so clueless to all the specs and what I might need.
Anyone able to give some recommendations?
