I saw Green hairstreaks for the first, and only, time at a local nature reserve in 2018. When I arrived, a couple of them were flitting around knee-high vegetation but, after I had my camera ready they stayed a few feet up in a small Hawthorn tree. These images, of a female, were shot at a distance of 2-2.3m. The first has been cropped by about 60% and the second by around 75%.
I had part-processed TIFFs forgotten about on my PC.
Olympus EM-1 (aperture priority), Panasonic 100 - 400mm Leica DG Vario-Elmar at 400mm and 1/400 at f6.3.
