Custom Domains

I'm trying to figure out how to make my custom domain always appear in the address bar. From a browser that is not signed into SmugMug, I can type in my custom domain's www URL and it redirects to my SmugMug landing page (with https). However, the URL in the address bar changes to include .smugmug.com.
1. I have the Power plan
2. I've read and followed the instructions here: https://www.smugmughelp.com/en/articles/363-use-a-custom-domain
3. My domain is through GoDaddy and I used the GoDaddy Connect link under the Custom Domain settings
4. I don't think I have any hard-coded menu links.

Any other ideas about what's going on? Could it be something to do with not having https redirects setup correctly?
