Mini challenge # 344 Plenty of

spanky117abspanky117ab Registered Users Posts: 263 Major grins

The title of this challenge is " plenty of " meaning plenty of this and plenty of that. An easier way to put it might be plenty of trees, plenty of clouds, plenty of birds. As long as it's plenty of something then you're good to go. Here are some of my examples.
Plenty of snow geese.

Plenty of grain.

Plenty of pollen.

Plenty of burnt trees.

The mini challenge will end on November 17 2022 @ 5pm mountain time.
I hope you all Have fun with this
OUR UN-OFFICIAL GENERAL RULES
1. Have fun sharing and seeing what others share!
2. The host supplies a topic and you post 1-3 images. The host judges the winners (1st, 2nd and 3rd) and is not eligible to enter.
The 1st place winner then chooses the next topic, judges the winner and then passes on the baton to the new champion.
3. Any photo you’ve taken is eligible, regardless of when taken or camera used.
4. Any amount of post-processing is allowed, including making composites as long as everthing you put in the photo is taken from a photo made by yourself. However, it is helpful if you list your camera and lens along with your photo.
You may comment on other contestant's images. If you want someone to leave you some critique or criticism, just ask within your post.
5. The winner has up to three days (72 hours) to begin a new mini-challenge, or the honor goes to the #2 finisher and so forth.
Guidelines:
1. Enter 1-3 photos and put them in a single post.
2. Either embed your image in the thread or, if you must, supply a link to it. Keep in mind, however, most people don't want to click to open photos hosted elsewhere (i.e. on your website).
3. Also try and resize your photos prior to posting so they're sized appropriately for viewing without having to scroll (~800 pixels on the longest side works best.)
4. Give each image you enter a title.
5. Enjoy discussion with members about their images, don't let this just be an entry thread!
6. When quoting a post change the IMG urls to a 200x200 size picture so it is clear your post is feedback and not another entry. (see here for help)
7. Don't be hesitant, share'em and enter!
Mini-Challenge pointers:
1. Upon winning a mini-challenge round your first step is coming up with a new theme, and start a new thread using the same format as others have used.
2. Make sure to notify the admin of this thread to update the main thread links with your entry thread.
3. Feel free to watch the thread as it grows or wait to the end time and look at all the entries all at once.
4. After the time/date has passed, then officially close the thread with a single post notifying everyone of the fact.
5. After you're finished judging start a new thread (again use the prior formats) and post your Winner and runners-up, it is important to have runners up incase the winner does not show within the 72hr window.
6. PM the winner with this info above and let them know they have 72hrs.
7. After the 72hrs and the winner does not show up, notify the next runner-up and post a message on the Winner thread of the fact.
8. Remember, if you're the Winner, you run the show.

Nice theme and it's funny, another forum I'm a member of (dyxum.com, for Sony/Minolta photographers) just did a similar challenge called "lots of" in which I also participated.
    See here: https://www.dyxum.com/dforum/entries-dpc-305-lots-of_topic141511.html

But I've found three other ones from what I submitted there for this mini

Plenty shoes (memorial for the ~300 soldiers that died in the explosion of Fort Loncin (Liege) when a German "Fat Bertha" hit the fort's gunpowder room in november 1914)

Plenty birds (Gannets on Bird Rock at Cape Saint Mary's, Newfoundland)

Plenty seats (at the European Parliament main assembly hall in Brussels, even too many now that the UK has left the room)

Great challenge Mike! Although Pieter ( @pegelli ) mentioned someone else's challenge, it was not on a dgrin board, so I am not sure of his point in mentioning it here.

    Here are my 3:

    1 Plenty of Mushrooms

    2 Plenty of People

    3 Plenty of Fountains

I don't understand your point either Joyce. I simply mentioned that I found it a funny coincidence that two forums I'm a member of have very similar challenges right after each other.
If you think that's not funny or should not be mentioned here let me know and I'll remove the comment

No worries Pieter, now that I'm not in such a rush to get moderation stuff done, I see what your point is now. Originally when I read it, I didn't see the statement "funny, another forum I'm a member of..." as I do have a tendency to sometimes speed read through things when I'm on a tight schedule. I saw a link and I followed it, then became confused when I realized it wasn't even a dgrin forum. Thus, my thought was maybe you were trying to point out the theme was a repeat of something we did recently. My bad. However, I know that I am not the only one who see a link, will jump to the link before really getting content down at times. Which is why it is better to imbed the link in a phrase such at this: See here As a moderator, I have to check all links posted on the boards, but if it's embedded, I might not see the link till I get to the sentence. Ok, have a great day Pieter!

Fun mini topic. Here are mine:

    1) Lots of Elephant Seals and one Napping Police (Gull)

    2) Lots of startled Canadian Geese

    3) Lots of box cars and containers on one train going through the Tehachapi Loop - the Seventh Wonder of the Train World.

The Tehachapi Loop is a 3,779 foot (0.72 mi; 1.15 km) long spiral,[1] or helix, on the Union Pacific Railroad Mojave Subdivision through Tehachapi Pass, of the Tehachapi Mountains in Kern County, south-central California. The line connects Bakersfield and the San Joaquin Valley to Mojave in the Mojave Desert. Any train that is at least 3,800 feet (1,162 m) (approx. 56 60’(67'11") box cars) long PASSES OVER ITSELF going around the loop. Look closely at the bottom of the center hill to see the train start to pass its tail-end and enter the tunnel that takes it underground, around passing under itself, and then in this case, continue to Mohave.
