This was the end of his antics of pretending to chew the throw, wrestling with imaginary foes, growling at nothing in particular, then looking at me licking his chops. Silly boy.

@black mamba - Thanks. The one-eyed stare in this case is the fact that it's the only eye Willie sports. He was a rescue about 4 years ago and came with one eye. We don't know what happened - no history available - but it was obviously surgically removed based on the scar. He does just fine with one eye - especially in finding food or scraps to inhale. And yes, the rescue organization named him "one-eyed Willie".
