Sorta, Cristobal. For butterflies and hummingbirds I set the camera to f.5.6,1/1200 second, and auto ISO. Here that yielded an ISO of 250. The focal length was 400mm. I use auto ISO because I never know if I'll be shooting into a shaded area or a sunny one. I just know it'll be quick.
As I mentioned previously, it is wonderful to see these creatures, capture in your images. The ability to see and really look at them, to appreciate their beauty. When seeing them "in the wild" their movements are so dynamic and rapid, one can barely see these details.

Very nice. Can you share the tech details, aperture, focal length, speed?

I believe that's a Swallowtail, and possibly a Giant Swallowtail Butterfly. Regardless, they are beautiful creatures and this is a lovely capture. 👍👏

Thanks for the kind words, Ziggy. It was large so maybe it was the "giant" variety.
