Ute Indian Petroglyphs

This wall of petroglyphs is in Arches National Park, just off the Delicate Arch hiking trail.
These petroglyphs were carved sometime between A.D. 1650 and 1850

This panel near Wolfe Ranch shows figures on horseback. These petroglyphs were created after the mid-1600s when the native people in this area acquired horses.

    I love that area around Moab, the petroglyphs are amazing. #2 is awesome!

    I agree, the area around Moab is beautiful and full of photographic opportunities, any time of the year.

    The petroglyphs (and so many more than I posted here) in the surrounding area are amazing. One can spend hours not only photographing the petroglyphs but just wandering the area and soaking up the history associated with these petroglyphs and the people who created them.
