winter barns

the sun finally made an appearance last weekend, and when i was done at the zoo, i went in search of barns.....my favorite subject.

i pulled a "ginger" on this first one, going down a long, unused driveway in the snow to get to this abandonded site. i have a very low honda civic, and when i attempted to turn around in an open spot to get out, i got stuck. there was no way to go forward, because of the nascar front end. i just kept saying "there's no way this is gonna happen!!" i rocked it and rocked it, and slowly managed to manuver it around until i could get to the tracks i made coming down and got out........it would have been a long walk out of there, and no telling how far to the next farm, and hubby was at work...i kinda scared myself.

i got home and shot this one of the barn across the road from the safety of my yard

sounds like the start of a teen gore-fest movie.

I like the second one, but the fir blocking some of the silo bugs me ( a tiny bit)

I reckon if you'd moved left a bit and down a bit (bernie the bolt please , did you guys ever get "The Golden Shot"? :D) you could've got the barn framed by the trees.

First one doesn't grab me, looks a bit straight on!
