Can you use SVG tags in HTML Block

Hello, I have tried to search this topic a couple of times but not really getting anywhere so hoping someone will be able to help. I know SmugMug doesn't allow for the upload of SVG images to the galleries still so I was hoping that I could instead embed the SVG code of my image into an HTML Block but so far have been unsuccessful. Anyone have any samples or know if it is possible to do this? If not, can you reference an external link to an SVG image in an HTML Block to display on your site instead? Thanks in advance, I appreciate any assistance.

My logo is a svg, but it is hosted on my WordPress site. I use a HTML/CSS block instead of a Logo Block. So, if you can upload your file anyplace online (other than SmugMug) you should be fine.
