Portable flash and studio
Hello,
I am thinking in getting into studio photography. I have (2) portable flash units. Using KM 7D I have a 5600HS and another brand I use with another camera. How can I trigger the 5600HS wirelessly without using the built in flash? Is there a cable to connect between the camera and the flash unit? Also, the other flash I have cannot be triggered wirelessly. Any accessory that will allow it to act as a slave? Last, How do they mount on a tripod and how umbrellas mount to them (or the tripods)? I have not recearched this yet hoping someone who did, can give me a quick hint.

But far better is a set of Pocket Wizards - a radio transmitter that mounts on the hot shoe of your KM 7D and a receiver that connects to your flash via a short PC cord. These are reliable and do not leave you with cords for someone to trip over or pull over your camera and tripod.

Many electronic flash shoes have a 1/4 x 20 or a 3/8 thread that fits right on a tripod thread. If they are being fired by a Pocket Wizard they can just be taped into place too.
