It's been a little while since I submitted any photos but now I'm back and ready to share my views of our small, beautiful world. I will be joining the nature site, whipping post, and an occassional challenge when I can shoot something current. Your wisdom will help me to refine my skills and maybe provide a new perspective to this world of photography.

Beautiful sunrise & well exposed, but I don't think the silhouette adds anything to the shot. He/She is very central and very prominent. I feel like asking them to move and stop spoiling the view :D.

The horizon could do with some straightening too

Q: Where's the best place to learn water skiiing.
    A: A lake with a slope. rolleyes1.gif

I think the guy should stay. It's a picture of someone watching a sunrise & I quite like it.

    sunrise
I used the guy to tone down the bright sun -- without him in the shot I had distracting solar flares. Also, I found him to add an interesting element even thouggh he was too central.

I really like the shot the way it is. I think it is interesting the the only "solar flare" is actually coming off of the water, not from the actual sun. Incidentally, that begs a question. What amount of sunlight can hurt the camera sensor? Is there a certain time period of the day before which you shouldn't shoot the sun head on? I'm sure there is, but I wouldn't know when!
